Ford India has removed the Mustang from its website as it is set to put its 2021 facelift on sale in the country soon.
This is part of the firm’s plan to launch high-performance vehicles in India this year in order to reinforce its brand value and positioning in the country.
To be available in GT trim, the 2021 Ford Mustang facelift will come with a new front bumper, revised bonnet with air scoops and new LED tail lights and a lip spoiler at the back. The side profile remains unchanged.
On the inside, the muscle car will come with a new 12-inch digital instrument cluster, infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, drive modes, and better fit and finish, while it will also feature more safety equipment.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the 5.0-litre V8 will make 450 HP and 569 Nm and the motor will come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
When it gets launched, the 2021 Ford Mustang facelift is expected to be priced around Rs. 75 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Although there are no concrete reports on the matter, Ford is also expected to bring a limited number of the Mustang Mach 1 model as well and it goes without saying that the limited-edition model will cost more than the “regular” Mustang.
