Ford won’t launch the Mustang facelift in India but will launch the next generation model in 2021.
According to our sources, Ford has decided not to launch the facelifted version of the Mustang in India. However, the American carmaker will get the next generation Mustang to India, which is expected to make its debut in 2021. Until then, Ford will continue to sell the current model in India without introducing the facelift.
Ford Mustang is one of the most popular performance cars in the world and the muscle car has been received well in India as it is a sub Rs. 1 crore V8 car in the country.
The Ford Mustang is powered by a massive 5-litre V8, naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 401 BHP and 515 Nm of torque. To reach 100 km/hr from standstill, the Mustang takes only 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 252 km/hr. The heart of the vehicle comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The Mustang is priced at Rs. 74.62 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Mustang comes with Electronic Line-Lock that keeps the front brakes locked while you accelerate to warm the rear tires for enhanced grip. The Mustang also comes with Electric Power Assisted Steering, which means you get three steering modes, normal, comfort, and sport. Additionally, the selectable driving modes help you toggle between normal, snow/wet, sport, and track to give you an enhanced driving experience. Each driving mode changes the handling and response characteristics of the vehicle.
