Ford India has unveiled the upcoming all new Fiesta at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket, New Delhi today. The new Fiesta is powered by a new Ti-VCT 1.6L, 16 Valve, DOHC Duratec petrol engine which featuresvariable valve technology. The 1.6 motor produces 118 bhp of power at 6350Rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The Zetec 16 valve, DOHC, diesel engine uses common rail technology and produces 90 bhp of power and 204 Nm of torque. The new Fiesta is prices start at Rs. 7.2 lakhs for the petrol and 8.5 lakhs for the diesel with deliveries starting in June, 2011. The new 2011 Ford Fiesta will be built at the company’s Chennai facility and is the first of eight new global Ford vehicles to hit India.

The introduction of the Fiesta further supports our One Ford strategy of providing a full family of vehicles that lead in safety, quality, fuel efficiency and innovative technology,” Michael Boneham, president and MD, Ford India said.

Ford also introduced the Fiesta Café at its reveal pavilion. Customers can walk in to the café and get to know more about the new Fiesta through a digital media environment, gadgets and imagery. While a Fan Wall beams live social media feeds about the Fiesta, sonic chairs with integrated speakers invite the customers to sit awhile and learn more about the car’s new features via iPad applications.
