The new service price calculator allows customers to get an estimated cost of periodic maintenance service of their vehicles which will be matched at dealerships.
Introducing more transparency in its ways of working, Ford India has launched the ‘Service Price Promise’ on its website that allows customers to know the cost of ownership of its vehicles. With the new ‘Service Price Calculator’, customers get to know the cost of periodic maintenance service before taking their vehicle to the dealership. This new service includes all models in Ford’s lineup including the recently launched Figo, Figo Aspire and 2015 EcoSport.
Taking the new Ford Figo diesel into consideration, the new service price calculator allows you to calculate for a minimum of one year and 10,000 kms. For the said period, the calculator shows a total maintenance cost of Rs. 1855/- which includes prices for the engine oil, oil filter, sump plug gasket and consumables along with taxes. The customer needs to take a print out of this web quote when they walk into the service centre. The web calculated amount is valid for a month and is subject to change thereafter.
The other interesting bit on the Ford service price calculator is that it will also give you web quotes for models as old as 15 years including the Ikon, Fusion and Endeavour with up to 3,00,000 kms on the odometer. This new service joins the company’s extensive list of other services for enhanced customer convenience including the sub-assembly levels of repairs that help in achieving a lower cost of ownership by replacing child parts or sub-components instead of one big component. The new Figo Aspire is said to have 850 such parts under sub-assembly.
Further, the American manufacturer has seen more local content going into its vehicles thereby helping lowering component cost while the ‘Happy Pocket Service’ as the name suggests offers car servicing on a budget starting at Rs. 2199/-. In addition, Ford India offers its one-of-a-kind ‘Vehicle Personalisation Centre’ wherein customers have the option to accessorize their cars at the factory level. The company currently provides this option for the EcoSport alone.
