Ford has inaugurated a massive 45 new sales and service outlets across India, all in a single day. The additions of these outlets has been done in 35 cities, taking Ford’s total sales and service outlets to 230 across 123 cities. Close to 40% of Ford cars are sold in Tier II and Tier III cities and this expansion will help the company in offering their products to a large population. Out of the 45 new sales and service outlets, 20 are 3S (showroom, sales and service) facilities, 12 are service workships while the remaining 11 are standalone sales showrooms. Statistics say that on an average, Ford India opens a new showroom every 10 days!
“Adding to our commitment of bringing eight new products to India by mid-decade, we are focused on augmenting the customer experience with our world class service initiatives. Today Ford dealerships are located across the length and breadth of India and offer world class after sales service plans at a competitive cost.” Michael Boneham, president and MD, Ford India, said.
These new facilities have been opened in New Delhi, Noida, Rohtak, Sonepat, Panipat, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Alwar, Bikaner in the North; Rourkela, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Goa, Jabalpur, Indore, Sagar, Solapur, Bhillai, Jamnagar in the west; Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Gulbarga, Hyderabad, Belgaum, Thanjavur, Tirupur in the South; and Rourkela, Agartala, Kolkata in the East. These new dealerships are Brand Retail showrooms which are built on Ford’s global standards. The company offers Quick Service, wherein a route service will be performed in less than 90 minutes. Ford’s focus is to ensure a good ownership experience more than just selling cars.
