Ford India has appointed VST Ford Spares and Focuz Auto Agencies as exclusive retail distributor in Karnataka and Kerala respectively with plans to expand in Maharashtra and East India in the next phase.
Enhancing customer convenience and lower cost of ownership on its vehicles, Ford India has expanded the availability of genuine service parts in the country with the latest states being Karnataka and Kerala. The automaker has appointed VST Ford Spares as the official distributor in Karnataka, while Focuz Auto Agencies will be handling the network in Kerala. With the latest expansion down south, the American auto giant is now eyeing to expand its retail distribution network in Maharashtra and East of India in the next phase.
Launched last year, the Ford Retail Distribution of Genuine Parts is an initiative by the company to make its service parts more easily available and at competitive prices beyond the authorised service centres. The retail distribution allows multi-brand workshops and individual mechanics to source components easily and not at bone breaking prices. Ensuring a cost-effective ownership experience, the manufacturer also offers several other initiatives including sub-assembly level for repairs that breaks down auto parts into sub-components in a bid to reduce the overall ownership costs. The newest Figo Aspire is said to have close to 850 parts available under sub-assembly components.
Furthermore, Ford India has been working to improve the localisation levels on its vehicles with the parts being high in quality but available at competitive prices. As part of its multiple initiatives, the automaker commenced the Ford Happy Pocket Service last year that offers a packaged service to the customer with prices starting as low as Rs. 2199/-; while their other customer-centric initiatives include pan-India Roadside Assistance, 90 minute-Quick Service Bays, Mobile Service Vans and Vehicle report card. A vehicle personalisation program also exists for the EcoSport.
