Ford India has launched the Endeavour Sport special edition with a price tag of Rs. 35.10 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). It is Rs. 65,000/- more expensive over the regular Titanium+ trim. However, it is Rs. 1.78 lakhs more affordable than the Toyota Fortuner TRD 4×4.
As seen in the spy shots earlier, the Endeavour Sport comes with plenty of blacked-out elements throughout the exterior. The list of changes that the SUV will sport is as follows –
Since the special edition model is based on the Titanium+ version, features such as dual front, side and curtain airbags, driver knee airbag, Electronic Stability Control with Rollover Stability and Traction Control, handsfree power liftgate with anti pinch sensor, panoramic sunroof, semi-auto parallel park assist, push button start/stop, smart passive entry, will be offered as standard.
Further, it is only available in the range-topping 4×4 version so it gets features such as the terrain management system with Normal, Snow/Mud/Grass, Sand and Rock modes and hill descent control. It has 800 mm of water-wading capacity.
Interior of the car remains unchanged, it is the same as the regular Titanium+ variant.
No changes have been made to the mechanical bits of the car and thus the Ford Endeavour Sport price will still get people a 2.0-litre diesel motor that makes 170 PS of peak power and 420 Nm max torque, mated to a 10-speed auto gearbox. It returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 12.4 km/l.
Launched squarely against the Toyota Fortuner TRD, the Endeavour Sport price too is similar to its Japanese competitor.
