The Ford EcoSport came and conquered many segments in one go. The sub 4-metre SUV has received overwhelming response by the Indian audience because of its attractive and unique package. By receiving an astonishing 30,000 bookings in a matter of 17 days, the EcoSport has broken all the records by being the most successful car launched in India. With big amount of bookings comes big responsibility. Ford needs to be quick with the deliveries as the waiting list is getting longer every day.
The 1.5-litre TDCI diesel variants of the EcoSport have a waiting period ranging from 1 month to 9 months. The basic EcoSport Ambient diesel variant has a waiting period from 30 to 45 days, the Trend diesel has a waiting of 2 months, Titanium diesel has a waiting of 3 months, while the range topping Titanium Option has the longest waiting period of 9 months. All petrol EcoSport including 1.5-litre and 1.0-litre EcoBoost have a surprising waiting period of 8 months regardless of the variant.
Despite the EcoSport TDCI recall for re-positioning the glow plug, the demand is still going strong and the number of footfalls in the dealerships is continuing the same way. Because of so many people interested in buying the car, dealerships have displayed the waiting time frame and a newspaper clipping of the recall to make it all clear. The mentioned time frame for deliveries is the maximum possible within which the car will be delivered.
