Force Trax With Seven-Doors Caught Testing

The Force Trax 7-door model is currently undergoing homologation and could be launched later this year.

The Force Trax 7-door is based on the same platform as the other versions

The Force Trax is a popular utility vehicle that has the ability to carry up to 11 passengers in ideal conditions and one can easily witness more passengers just piled on in rural areas and smaller towns. With the need for more passenger carrying capacity, Force Motors has now developed a seven-door variant of the Trax that was recently caught testing and is said to be undergoing homologation at present.

Essentially available in five-door body styles, Force Motors had added two additional doors and another seating row to the Trax for increased passenger capacity. This will be the fourth variant added to the Trax family which currently includes the Gama, Cruiser and Toofan, while it also underpins the Gurka off-roader. In terms of engine output, the tried and testing 2.6-litre diesel motor powering the lineup will continue to do duty on the 7-door model producing 60 BHP of power and 158 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The interiors like the outgoing versions will be bare bones while the exteriors don’t expect to get any changes either. The Force Trax competes against the Mahindra Bolero and Tata Sumo in the same space and the 7-door version might just give it that edge over its rivals. The Trax 7-door could be launched later this year once the homologation process is completed and it will be interesting to see the turning radius of such a huge model.

The Force Trax is currently available with up to 11 seater variants
