Force Motors has officially launched EX and SX variants of the Force One today. The new variants of the Force One SUV will cater to a wider audience. The company’s major market is the rural market but a slight urban presence is also being targeted. The Pune based automaker has sold around 2600 units of the Force One till date and plans to open 50 outlets by March 2015. The EX variant of the Force One is now the base variant, which is powered by the Force Gurkha’s lower powered motor, producing 82 PS of power.
Force Motors has also launched the SX variant of the Force One which gets ABS and EBD as standard. The SX variant of the Force One is priced between Rs. 11.99 to 12.06 lakhs, depending on whether you opt for captain seats or not. Sales of these new variants will start from 16th August and the EX variant is priced at Rs. 8.99 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The EX variant loses a lot of equipment and details of the same can be read HERE. The company is targeting the Mahindra Scorpio and the regular Tata Safari with the EX variant.
In the current fiscal year, Force Motors plans to sell 2500 units of their flagship SUV while next fiscal year (FY2015), they plan to sell 5000 units. The company has already uploaded details about the 4×4 version on their website but the launch will take place next month. The 4×4 version of the Force One comes in LX trim and gets a limited slip differential along with ABS as standard equipment. Force Motors first showcased the 4×4 variant at the 2012 Auto Expo last year and plans to launch an MPV later this year.
