Force Motors’ first passenger vehicle the Force One SUV with all-wheel drive has been launched in the country, priced at Rs. 13.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the top end LX variant, the Force One 4×4 comes with all the bells and whistles on the exteriors and the interiors. In total, the company now has three variants of the SUV on offer, which includes the EX (Executive), SX (Superior) and LX (Luxury) variants, which will help the company cater to a wider audience.
The Force One 4×4 measures 4860 mm length, 1780 mm in width and 1935 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3025 mm and a ground clearance of 145 mm. On the outside, the 4×4 variant retains the looks from the existing model and gets 4×4 decals, LED daytime running lights, projector lamps, fog lamps and a roof spoiler at the rear. You also get body cladding for a rugged look, which has become a norm these days. Inside the cabin, the Force One 4×4 comes with all the bells and whistles added to the list.
The cabin has been finished in beige and gets wooden inserts on the centre console and the doors, while the seats and the multi-function steering wheel have been done up in leather. You also get 2-DIN infotainment system, cruise control, 4WD electronic shift with limited slip differential and dual air-con vents for each row of seats. The Force One comes with 2+3+3 seating layout with the option of captain seats or a bench seat for the second row. You also get electronically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
Powering the Force One 4×4 SUV is a 2.2-litre FMTECH (Force Motors Technology) BSIV compliant diesel engine that produces 141 PS of power and 321 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The SUV can achieve a top speed of 160 km/hr. The Force One 4×4 variant comes equipped with ABS, EBD, disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
With the new updates and four-wheel drive system on offer, Force Motors hopes to sell more units of the SUV that is available in six colour options on the palette namely Intense White, Fierce Red, Emphatic Gray, Bold Black, Robust Blue and Moondust Silver. The Force One competes against the Toyota Innova and Mahindra XUV500 in the segment and comes with a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kms, whichever comes first.
