Fiat motors showcased its ‘Fuori Serie’ program for its Abarth models at Paris Motor Show 2012. The Fuori Series is a customization program under which customer will be allowed to do their own customization selection for their Fiat cars. Currently under this program, the Abarth 500 Fuori Serie made its debut at the Paris Motor Show 2012. Generally the customization programs are available with the super luxury and sport cars manufacturer like Ferrari, Porsche and Rolls-Royce, but with Fuori Serie, Fiat wants to provide the customization service to customers even for their compact cars.
Abarth will offer two customization collections for Fiat cars under this program. The two collections offered are; Heritage which comes with liveries inspired from the legacy of past models from Abarth and New Wave which is inspired from the new cars of current era. The new Fiat 500 Fuori Serie which made its debut at the event, has been customized under heritage option and is re-interpretation of Fiat Abarth 131 Mirafori ‘Olio Fiat’ rally car of 1976 Monto Carlo Rally. The 500 has been finished in matte-yellow and blue colors.
The Fiat 500 Fuori Serie edition also gets many mechanical upgrades. The 1.4-litre turbocharged engine is re-tuned for producing 20 more horses than the regular model which makes 160 BHP. The modifications have also been done on the suspension and brakes. The car under Fuori Serie comes with Brembo brake calipers apart from some other mechanical changes under the hood. The alloy wheels with a yellow centre cap and signature badging of 695 is also done for enhancing the appeal. All the Fuori Serie cars will come with a certificate of authenticity issued from the factory.
