The Sportivo edition adds several new features inside the base Punto’s cabin while the exterior gets aesthetic upgrades including the very classy alloy wheels.
Adding some excitement to the base variant of its hatchback, Fiat India has officially launched the Punto Sportivo limited edition in the country priced at Rs. 7.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Sportivo adds new features, accessories, sportier aesthetics and alloy wheels to the base Active trim of the Punto Evo and is limited only to the diesel powered version of the hatchback.
In terms of exterior upgrades, the Fiat Punto Sportivo edition comes with –
- New two-tone colour with red body and contrasting white roof
- New Sportivo decals on the sides
- Checkered decal on the bonnet
- Sporty rear spoiler
- Chrome garnish on ORVMs that are finished in black
- Reverse parking sensors
- 15-inch alloy wheels
Inside the cabin, the Fiat Punto Sportivo edition adds some useful feature including –
- New faux leather seat covers
- 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth streaming
- GPS with 3D navigation
- Special carpet mats with FIAT branding
- Special flat door sill
Things remain the same under the hood with power on the Fiat Punto Sportivo coming from a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine tuned to produce 75 HP of power and 197 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The limited edition adds a host of upgrades to the Punto’s Active trim but is priced at a hefty Rs. 1.15 lakh premium over the standard variant. The top-end Emotion trim is Rs. 23,000/- (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi) more expensive than the Sportivo edition and adds dual airbags, ABS and EBD.
