Fiat has launched the pre-facelift Punto under the badge of Punto Pure at the 2016 Auto Expo for the buyers that were impressed with simplistic design.
The Fiat Punto Evo was launched in 2014 and the older version was discontinued. However, there was a class of people who were impressed by the simplistic Italian design of the older Punto and hence were unhappy with the Evo which got the design that was meant to be for the Avventura only. However, the Italian manufacturer has something for the unhappy followers of the hatchback. It has relaunched the pre-facelift Punto under the badge of Punto Pure at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Fiat Punto Pure comes with the same styling with no modifications except gunmetal finish alloys and will be powered by the same 1.3-litre, Multijet turbocharged diesel engine and the 1.2-litre FIRE petrol engine while both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The hatchback is being offered in only one trim with the petrol variant priced at Rs. 4.49 lakhs and the diesel one priced at Rs. 5.59 lakhs. It is being positioned as an entry-level B segment hatchback.
