The most attractive feature provided in the Absolute edition is the GPS navigator with 1.0-Ghz processor on an Android 2.3 operating system, which also offers 3-D maps and is armed with smartphone functionalities, Multimedia and Bluetooth. Fiat also offers an insurance plan to the customers at 50% discounted prices and an exchange bonus, apart from the collection of accessories. These all will give monetary benefit of Rs. 78,000/- on the Linea and Rs. 67,000/- on the Grande Punto to the prospective buyers.
Most people prefer to buy accessories at local accessory shops as it turns out much cheaper. Fiat is offering quite a few extra fitments, which do add value. However the prices set by Fiat don’t really equate to the value perceived by buyers as the pricing of some accessories are higher at company level. However, its a good move by Fiat to offer more features for the same price but the company really needs to bring in the Punto Evo and the Linea facelift soon.
