Post the unveil of the exterior, the interior of the Fiat Cronos has now been revealed.
Fiat revealed the exterior of the Cronos sedan first and has now released a couple of images revealing the interior of the car. For reference, Cronos is the next-generation Linea and a sedan derivative of the Argo hatchback (next-generation Punto). The Italian carmaker hasn’t put a word yet on the India launch of the Cronos or even the Argo for that matter.
The Fiat Cronos gets an identical-looking dashboard as the Argo. There is an all-black treatment for the dashboard which gets rectangular AC vents with chrome bezels at the sides and circular ones in the centre. A tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system takes the centre stage while the lower part of the centre console has buttons for automatic climate control and ports for USB and AUX. The instrument cluster gets a twin pod setup with a large MID screen in between. The door pads, door handles and the 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel get silver inserts.
The sedan is expected to come powered by a 100 HP 1.3-litre petrol motor and a 133 HP 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine. Ethanol versions of the aforementioned engines will output 108 HP and 137 HP respectively. While both the powertrains will get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, the 1.8-litre mill is likely also get an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. Replacing the Linea in the global markets, the sedan is likely to go on sale in the South American markets from the first quarter of this year.
