The Fiat Avventura Urban Cross, which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, will make its way on our roads this year. The launch will most probably happen in the upcoming festive season.
Fiat had unveiled the Avventura Urban Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo alongside two other cars, the Punto Pure and Linea 125S. The Punto Pure has already made it on our streets, and the Avventura Urban Cross is expected to follow suite in the upcoming festive season, which will be followed by the launch of the Linea 125S.
The Fiat Avventura Urban Cross will be powered by a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine which will produce 140 PS of power at 5500 RPM and a peak torque figure of 210 Nm between 2000 and 4000 RPM. The powerplant is sure to give the Urban Cross punchy performance. The vehicle also gets 4 disc brakes for added stopping power.
On the exterior, the Fiat Urban Cross gets an updated front look which gets follow me headlamps, a new grille with chrome inserts and a redesigned cladding. At the rear, we have LED guide optical tail-lights, and the tailgate does not get a tyre mounted on it. The roof rails have also undergone an update and get LED lighting at the front, and the turn indicators are neatly integrated in the ORVMs. The car also gets new 17-inch alloy wheels that look quite attractive.
On the inside, the Urban Cross gets a dual-tone cabin with instruments like a compass, inclinometer that are seen on the Avventura as well. The vehicle also gets a touch-screen infotainment system with satellite navigation and Bluetooth integration. The price is expected to be around the Rs. 8 lakh mark.
