Italian carmaker Ferrari has launched Portofino in India with a price tag of Rs. 3.5 crores.
The Italian supercar maker has just launched the Portofino in India. The new Ferrari Portofino is a V8 grand touring sports car. Ferrari has priced it at Rs. 3.5 crores (ex-showroom) in India and it replaces the California T. The Portofino is the entry level Ferrari.
The new Portofino takes styling inspiration from the California T in a little sharper and aggressive way. The front profile looks just the way a Ferrari looks, huge front central grille with a Ferrari logo in the centre. The front fender also gets large twin intakes with a vent to channel the air out of the front wheel.
The Portofino features sharp LED headlamps that adds to its aggressive styling. At the rear, it gets even sharper with the LED tail lamps and quad exhaust system with a larger diffuser. There is an integrated spoiler on the boot which looks quite sporty.
The Ferrari Portofino is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 front mounted engine that generates 600 HP at 7500 RPM and 760 Nm of torque at 5250 RPM. The Portofino takes just 3.5 seconds from 0-100 km/hr and has a top speed of 320 km/hr. It gets an electric power steering with an electronic rear differential. The ride quality has been taken care by Ferrari’s signature magnetorheological damper which gets stiffened or softened at the touch of a button.
On the inside, the Ferrari Portofino gets a 10.2-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay. The seat gets contrast stitching and the coloured seat-belt adds the sporty feel to it. The convertible gets its roof down in just 14 seconds, with a lighter and compact mechanism. This also ensures that the rear seat passenger gets additional space.
The Ferrari Portofino has a strong competition with Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.
