Maruti Suzuki takes the top 4 positions on the list.
For the month of February 2020, Maruti Suzuki has yet again bagged the first four positions to come on top of the list. However, for this month, the Swift is the first one on the list with a growth of 3%. Second in line, the Wagon R has grown 16%.
Third on the list is the Maruti Alto which sold 17,921 units with a growth of -28%. Maruti Baleno, which was ranked third last month has slipped to fourth position bagging 16,585 unit sales. The Kia Seltos which sold 14,024 units has been positioned fifth in the list, selling almost 1000 units fewer than previous month. The sixth and seventh positions are held by the Maruti Ertiga and Eeco selling 11,782 and 11,227 units, respectively, with similar YoY growth.
The third OEM on the list, Hyundai has bagged 5 out of 25 positions. The Grand i10 and Venue sold 10,407 and 10,321 units, whereas the Elite i20 sold 8766 units. The Maruti Dzire which was ranked on top in January 2020 sales has slipped down 11 positions, ranking twelfth in the February 2020 list. This is probably because dealer dispatches were less owing to the fact that Maruti will soon launch the facelifted Dzire.
The Honda Amaze ranked 15th in the list with sales of 5814 units and growth of -11%. Toyota has managed to enter the top 25 selling list in February 2020 with the Innova Crysta which clocked sales of 5459 units. Maruti has a new entrant in the list, the XL6. The XL6 has bagged sales of 3886 units.
The Tata Altroz, Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra XUV300 could not make to the top 25 list in February 2020. Sales of the Honda City also fell because the current model is on its way out and the new generation of the City will be launched in the next few days. Similarly with the Creta, only 700 units were dispatched in February because the new Creta will be launched on 16th March.
