KTM has secretly launched the 2016 RC 390 for India as well as foreign markets while the Indian model is sold at a premium of Rs. 1500/-

The MY16 KTM Duke 200 gets new 300 mm front disc brake

The MY16 KTM RC and Duke feature a number of mechanical changes such as the modified ECU dampers, front and rear wheels are reassembled and the front forks get NOK seal. The export models will also see new Motorex stickers and wiring harness while the news about the Indian models is not yet out.

The MY16 KTM Duke and RC bikes get forged levers on the step holder assembly, however it was also seen on some models of 2015. The bikes are now built on a hybrid frame with M6 tapping that also underwent some changes with respect to mounting points. The black colour on the Duke and the white on the RC are also different when compared to the earlier models.

The 2016 KTM Duke 200 gets new front 300 mm disc brake while the thickness of discs on all the models has increased. The bikes now come with an all-new assembly of pillion seat along with modified brake reservoir bracket and the control switch on the right hand will now come without on/off switch for headlight. The Duke 200 will also get new design on the MRF tyres.

The 2016 KTM RC range will get modified rearview mirrors but the modification is expected to be limited to the length. The automaker is reported to have secretly launched the 2016 RC 390 for the Indian market with a slipper clutch, diverting radiator fans, plastic flaps for the shock absorbers and rubber mountings, however it misses out the exhaust to be fitted on the European models to meet Euro VI emission norms, there is no ride-by-wire either.
