The FAW Haima 8S comes powered by a 1.6-litre TGDI turbo petrol engine.
Chinese automaker FAW Haima will be entering the Indian market soon and the company has showcased its range of vehicles at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo. The FAW Haima 8S has been displayed here and it is a mid-size SUV that will rival the likes of the Kia Seltos and MG Hector when it is launched in India.
The FAW Haima 8S comes powered by a 1.6-litre TGDI turbo petrol engine producing 195 PS of power. It is offered with a 6-speed AT. The vehicle could get a BS6 diesel engine too in India. The SUV is 4565 mm long, 1850 mm wide and 1682 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2700 mm.
The vehicle comes with a striking design and it has a good amount of lines and creases all over. It gets dual-tone alloys and LED lights to up the oomph factor. The vehicle also gets a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, voice commands, powered tailgate, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, and a 360-degree camera.
In the Chinese market, the FAW Haima 8S is priced from RMB 80,000 to RMB 1,26,000 which translates to roughly Rs. 8.20 lakhs to Rs. 13 lakhs. In India, the 8S could be priced in the range of Rs. 12-16 lakhs (ex-showroom).
