Nissan introduces Nismo kit for the Sunny facelift in Malaysia that comes with exterior package, sports exhaust and Nismo suspension. There are no changes in engine performance.
Nissan launched the Sunny facelift last year in our country with significant updates. They have now launched the Sunny facelift in Malaysia, where it is known as the Nissan Almera. Along with the regular trims, Nissan has introduced a Nismo version of the Sunny, which comes with a sporty package. There are no changes to the engine performance in the Nismo version but instead, the Japanese carmaker is offering visual updates with Nismo exhaust and suspension system to get the feel of a performance oriented sedan.
The Nissan Sunny Nismo package gets a heavily sculpted bumper with a sporty chin finished in red. The side profile looks quite racy with dark 16-inch alloys, red finished ORVMs and low hanging side skirts. At the rear, it gets a black spoiler, diffuser and a brawny sports exhaust to complete the sporty stance. The revised suspension system is offered for better handling and reduced body roll. The regular trims of the Nissan Sunny get ditto updates on the exterior and interior as the version offered in India.
However, the Malaysian market gets a 6.5-inch touch screen Android-based navigation system on the Nissan Sunny facelift. Powering the vehicle in Malaysia is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 102 PS of maximum power and 139 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options for the Nissan Sunny include a 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual gearbox. We don’t expect Nissan to introduce the Nismo kit for Sunny in India but if they do, we would only get the exterior package.
