Volkswagen Virtus to get matte grey colour ahead of the festive season
Volkswagen Virtus will get the matte grey colour option soon. It is officially called Carbon Steel Grey Matte which is offered with the Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Limited Edition. It can be pre-booked on the website and the deliveries will commence in October.
The German carmaker revealed two new special editions early this year in April. The GT Edge Limited Collection was announced by the carmaker which included Virtus and Taigun models. While the Virtus was only offered with Deep Black Pearl, the Taigun was offered in both Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte options.
We believe Volkswagen reserved this colour option on the Virtus for this festive season. The carmaker will announce the pricing for the matte grey colour soon. The Black Pearl colour is priced from Rs. 17.09 lakhs (ex-showroom). Considering the price difference of Rs. 20,000/- between the black and matte grey Taigun variants, we believe the Virtus Carbon Steel Grey Matte will come with a starting price of Rs. 17.29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Colour scheme is exactly the same as the Taigun which gets red accents on the front bumper, on the lower-half of the side profile and on the rear bumper. There are red brake callipers as well.
The interior will get leatherette upholstery with red stitching, aluminium pedals and Laser Red ambient lighting for a sporty look.
The Volkswagen Virtus GT Limited Edition is available only with the 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo petrol engine producing 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It is offered with both 6-speed manual transmission and 7-speed DSG automatic transmission option.
With the introduction of this new colour option, Volkswagen hopes to improve sales of the Virtus during the upcoming festive season.
