Tata Curvv likely to get head-up display feature, design patent filed
Tata Motors have recently filed a design patent of a vehicle’s interior. It looks like a production ready model and comes with some new design elements that we haven’t seen yet in Tata cars.
It is most likely to be the Tata Curvv, which is scheduled to launch by early 2024. It is a proper 5-seater vehicle. You will notice the projection setup for the head-up display behind the steering wheel column. If launched with the production version, this will be the first Tata Motors car to get this feature.
Apart from the head-up display, the centre console of the Tata Curvv looks different as well. It has a layer of controls and switches near the front arm rest area and another layer underneath with cupholders and storage. There is a large floating touchscreen infotainment system on the dashboard. Seat belts get height adjust function as well.
We hope Tata Motors introduces more such features like this in the Curvv to differentiate it with the Nexon and justify the premium price tag. The Curvv will come with a unique coupe SUV design which was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. The production version will more or less look the same.
Engine options will be shared with the Tata Nexon including the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Indian carmaker will also introduce the all-electric version of the Curvv soon after the ICE version’s debut.
