Ducati XDiavel V4 Revealed, To Be More Expensive Than Diavel V4

Ducati has revealed the XDiavel V4 globally. The bike is positioned as a Sport Cruiser in the Diavel Lineup alongside the Diavel V4. The XDiavel has been on sale back in 2023 in 1260 trim. The XDiavel will start deliveries in May 2025 with the India launch confirmed later in the year.

Styling

The XDiavel V4 comprises a low-slung and more aggressive design. The machined alloy wheels offer a different design that complements the aggressive theme. Ducati has also focused on pillion comfort by widening the passenger perch and improving padding on the seat.

The Italian brand will also provide grab handles, free of charge, which improve pillion comfort. The ergonomics of the XDiavel also cater to a cruiser demographic by offering a swept-back handlebar for added comfort but comes with forward set footpegs. However, mid-mounted footpegs will be available as an accessory.

Differences With Diavel V4

This iteration of the XDiavel V4 shares more with the Diavel V4 than in the 1260 guise. The XDiavel V4 uses a chain final drive and is 6 Kg heavier as compared to the Diavel V4. The XDiavel V4 also has a seat height of 20mm lower as compared to the Diavel, aiding comfort.

Engine: Same Tune As In The Diavel V4

The XDiavel V4 is powered by a 1158cc V4 engine which produces 168 HP and 126 Nm of torque. The outputs are the same as the Diavel, as opposed to the previous XDiavel which had a different state of tune compared to the then Diavel 1260. The XDiavel also shares an aluminium monocoque frame, braking and suspension with the Diavel V4.

Suspension & Brakes

The XDiavel V4 has Upside Forks with 50mm travel at the front and a fully adjustable monoshock setup in the back. The braking duties are performed by 330 mm dual discs with Brembo Stylema Monobloc callipers up front and a single disc setup at the rear. Additionally, Ducati will happily sell you performance parts, cosmetic enhancements, and luggage-carrying accessories.

Features

The XDiavel V4 shares the 6.9-inch TFT Display with the Streetfighter and Panigale V4 models. It will feature Bluetooth Connectivity, Turn-By-Turn Navigation and a Ducati Link app. The electronics package consists of a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) that includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Power Launch and Cruise Control.

Outlook

The XDiavel V4 caters to buyers who are interested in a less committed and more comfortable version featuring the Granturismo V4 engine. Its comfortable rider triangle and ergonomics make it more appealing to a broader audience and compete with the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm. The Diavel V4 is priced at Rs. 26.2 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the XDiavel is expected to command a premium over its Italian sister.
