Ducati has decided to make up for lost sales in the past few months due to the pandemic.
The number of Ducati BS6 bikes is set to rise in India before the end of the year as the manufacturer is planning to bring in more motorcycles to our shores.
Recently, Ducati began accepting bookings for the Panigale V2, launch of which is set to happen in August. Now, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is said to be working towards introducing three more BS6 bikes in our country this year.
The first of the three Ducati BS6 bikes will be from the Multistrada range and is likely the 950 model which will arrive by October with prices starting from Rs. 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
A month later, by November, Ducati will launch its BS6-compliant Scrambler 800 range of motorcycles that are quite popular. In 2019, the Scrambler 800 range were sold in four versions in India and they are – Icon, Full Throttle, Cafe Racer and Desert Sled and were priced from Rs 7.89 lakhs to Rs. 9.93 lakhs (ex-showroom).
It is to be seen if all these bikes will be converted to BS6, but it is probable, since Ducati has tasted success with the Scrambler and would not want to let go of that, but also because all those bikes are Euro 5 ready.
Finally, the Scrambler 1100 will complete the range of Ducati BS6 bikes in India. It must be noted that Ducati had stated that it will be launching the Scrambler 1100 PRO in India by this time.
But, delays could not be avoided this year, and thus the 1079cc L-twin bike will be launched by the year-end, with different variants and will cost close to Rs. 12 lakhs (ex-showroom).
It goes without saying that the Ducati BS6 bikes will come with a price hike over their BS4 counterparts. One more thing, let us hope that Ducati does not forget or delay the Streetfighter V4 India launch set for 2021.
