Ducati has officially entered the Indian market after a long wait. It has opened three showrooms for a start in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon.
After exiting the Indian market a couple of years ago due to certain issues, Ducati has entered the Indian market again by the name of Ducati India Private Limited. The first three showrooms have been opened in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon which are up and running now. These showrooms will cater to customers from all over the country till the time showrooms are opened in other cities. The company has initially launched four series of bikes which are – Monster, Hypermotard, Panigale and Diavel.
The prices for the Italian superbikes ranges from Rs. 7 lakhs to Rs. 47 lakhs. Here is the detailed pricing (ex-showroom, Delhi) of various models –
1) The Monster range comprises of 7 models and the price ranges from Rs. 7.08 lakhs to Rs. 25.83 lakhs –
* Monster 795 – Rs. 7.08 lakhs
* Monster 796 S2R – Rs. 8.09 lakhs
* Monster 796 Corse Stripe – Rs. 8.09 lakhs
* Monster 821 Dark – Rs. 9.09 lakhs
* Monster 821 – Rs. 9.59 lakhs
* Monster 1200 – Rs. 19.95 lakhs
* Monster 1200 S – Rs. 24.43 lakhs
* Monster 1200 S Stripe – Rs. 25.83 lakhs
2) Hypermotard range has 3 variants –

3) The alienish looking Diavel goes up to Rs. 37 lakhs for the titanium edition –

4) The Panigale range consists of the flagship bike of the brand, the Panigale R priced at a whopping Rs. 46.75 lakhs –

Ducati will start up a dealership in Bangalore soon to cover the southern region and will open up a few other dealerships too this year. The Scrambler and Multistrada are missing from the lineup at present but these motorcycles would be launched within the next couple of months. Booking for the bikes have started already and the booking amount is Rs. 2 lakhs for all the models. Deliveries will start soon after the launch which is scheduled for the next week. The reason Ducati took so long to enter India is that it wanted to ensure that customers here get the same level of experience which is provided by Ducati globally. Having a good service network in the nation is their priority now.
