Ducati has revealed the Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro in Europe and it will take its place as the entry-level Scrambler 1100 Pro variant in the bike maker’s lineup.
Expected to be introduced in India as well, the new variant of the 1100 Pro range gets a dark theme with a Satin Matte Black paint, black mirrors, side panels with aluminium finish, anodised aluminium parts for the radiator cover and exhaust heat shield.
Otherwise, the Dark Pro looks similar to that of the 1100 Pro, but since it uses parts that are less expensive, it will be priced cheaper than the model on which it is based on.
Features offered on the bike include all-LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, three riding modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (which is claimed to have been calibrated differently for the Dark Pro), USD front forks, a Kayaba monoshock at the back and 10-spoke alloy wheels.
Powering the bike is a 1079cc Desmodromic L-twin motor that makes 86 HP and 88 Nm of max torque. In Europe, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro has been priced at €12,740 (about Rs. 11.02 lakhs).
In India, the Scrambler 1100 Pro is priced at Rs. 11.95 lakhs and the new Dark Pro is expected to be priced lower than Rs. 11.50 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom).
