Limited to 1500 units, the Panigale V4 Speciale is priced at Rs. 51.81 lakhs in India
When you see a Ducati on Indian roads, you know that the rider has a need for speed. The Italian bike manufacturer has always sated the Indian biker’s need for raw power and precise designs. And now, the first unit of the Panigale V4 Speciale has come to India. Only 1500 units of this model have been produced worldwide.
The model closest in performance to the Ducati Desmosedici GP which features at the MotoGP, the Panigale V4 Speciale also brings additional mechanical and cosmetic upgrades. The tri-colour livery is unique to this Panigale. The top yoke is made of solid metal with the identification number embossed on it.
Alcantara leather covers for the seat and the carbon heel guards are what catches your eye at first glance. This ultra-exclusive bike also packs with it the fully adjustable Ohlins electronic suspension at both ends, NIX-30 upside down forks at the front and TTX36 unit at the rear and Marchesini forged magnesium racing wheels are optionally available. The Akrapovic performance exhaust adds the finishing touch to this beautifully put-together marvel of engineering and design.
When it comes to incorporating electronics in bikes, Ducati has always stood above the rest. The Panigale boasts an electronics package which has a 6-axis inertial measurement unit (6D IMU), cornering ABS by Bosch, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) and engine brake control. The cast magnesium subframe and the lighter lithium-ion battery further brings down it’s weight to 174 kgs.
Powered by a 1103cc V4 engine producing 226 BHP of power and 133.6 Nm of torque, the Panigale V4 Speciale has multiple riding modes – Race, Sport and Street. This limited-edition bike hits the Indian market at Rs. 51.81 lakhs (ex-showroom) with Ducati hoping that their favourite market will not let them down.
Ducati claims that this Panigale Speciale edition is a symphony of Italian performance and emotion. Tall claims, but a look at the Panigale V4 Speciale and you can tell that they are not made lightly.
