The Ducati Panigale V4 SP comes with a rather hefty price tag
Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 SP at a price of Rs. 36.07 lakhs (ex-showroom), today in India. It is available only in the “Winter Test” livery which is inspired by Ducati Corse bikes used in the pre-season tests for MotoGP and SBK championships
The superbike has a carbon front mudguard, carbon-fibre winglets, adjustable billet aluminium foot pegs with with carbon heel guards, Marchesini forged magnesium wheels, 5-inch instrument display. and electronic suspension comprising Ohlins NIX-30 inverted front fork, Ohlins TTX36 rear shock absorber and a steering damper.
Of course, to justify its massive asking price, Ducati Panigale V4 SP also comes with a long list of electronic systems based on the 6-axis Bosch IMU, which include cornering ABS, traction control, slide control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and power launch.
Additionally, the rider gets to choose between different riding modes, including 2 different mappings (Race A and Race B) for the track, while the motorcycle also comes equipped with a data analyser kit with a GPS module.
Power comes form a 1103cc V4 engine that delivers 214 HP at 13,000 RPM and 124 Nm of torque at 9500 RPM. The motor uses a dry clutch and is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Stopping power comes from twin 330 mm front discs clamped by Brembo Stylema calipers and a 245 mm rear disc with a 2-piston caliper, while front brake pump is also from Brembo and features remote adjustment.
Ducati will also provide accessories, to be used only at a circuit, along with the Panigale V4 SP. These include the aforementioned data analyser, a carbon clutch cover and caps for the mirror and licence plate holder holes.
