Ducati claims it is the most powerful production bike launched by the brand.
Ducati has launched another limited edition bike in India, the Panigale V4 R. The bike has an introductory price tag of Rs. 51.87 lakhs (ex-showroom India). The number of units to be available in India has been limited to 5. Bookings are open across all dealerships in India.
For buyers who will book before November 30, 2018, deliveries will commence early between the months of January – March, 2019. Buyers booking the bike after November 30 will have their bikes delivered between April – June 2019.
The Panigale V4 R is incorporated with the technical prowess of the official Ducati Superbikes which are set to compete in the 2019 season. It is a completely road-legal WSBK category racing bike. The previous 90-degree V4 engine is replaced with the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R. This modification brings the V4 R within the displacement limits set by the WSBK championship rules and regulations.
The bike uses an aluminium swingarm with a four-position axle which is adjustable. It also has race-grade Öhlins suspension with mechanical adjustments and sports a fairing which has wings elements of the MotoGP origin. Ducati has modified the front frame to maintain the stiffness targets set by Ducati Corse. The new electronic controls are taken from the Panigale V4 S. The controls have further revised threshold levels to meet pro rider requirements.
Another additional modification in the Panigale V4 R is the Aero Pack which functions to improve the aerodynamic efficiency when on the track. This feature has been designed directly by Ducati Corse with the help of the Ducati Style Centre.
The bike can be booked across the dealerships of Ducati in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai.
