Ducati has sold out the Diavel until September, 2011. The Italian motorcycle maker has manufactured 5000 units of the Diavel till date and earned £69 million in revenue from just this model. The company had decided to produce 8000 units of the Ducati Diavel this year but now with the demand so high, they will have to increase production to satisfy the needs of Ducatista. 60% of Diavel sales are from the high end Carbon version, which is priced at Rs. 22.06 lakhs, while the base Diavel will set you back by Rs. 17 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom).
The Ducati Diavel is officially available in India through Ducati dealerships. This cruiser motorcycle is powered by a 1,198 cc, 4-valve, desmodromic liquid-cooled, L-twin engine, which produces 162 hp of power at 9500 RPM and 127 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The Diavel sports 240 section tyre at the rear. The Diavel Carbon feeatures fibre bodywork forged machined Marchesini wheels. The main competitors of the Diavel are the Yamaha MT-01, Suzuki Intruder and bikes from the Harley Davidson stable.
