While the UK’s Police fleet recently acquiring an Ariel Atom and the Italian Police having the Aventador and Huracan super cars; it is most certainly the Dubai Police that is having the last laugh when it comes to having the best and fastest police cars on the road. The latest addition to the Dubai police force’s super fleet of high end sports cars has been none other than the Bugatti Veyron. Capable of a top speed of 431 km/hr with 0-100 km/hr coming up in just 2.5 seconds, the Veyron can make any police chase end in a matter of seconds.
Apparently though, the Bugatti Veyron along with a fleet of other police supercars ply on Dubai roads as part of a public relations campaign to build a relationship between the citizens and tourists. It is not only the elite, but Dubai police officers too like to show off their exotic specials which include cars like the Aston Martin One 77, Nissan GT-R, Lamborghini Aventador, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, Ferrari FF, Mercedes SLS AMG, Bentley Continental GT, Ford Mustang, Brabus tuned Mercedes G63 AMG, McLaren MP4-12C and an Audi R8. All valued at a worth of $6.5 million (Rs. 38.47 crores excluding taxes in India).
The Dubai Police puts up a display of the supercars across the luxurious parts of the city including shopping malls, hotels and the beach as well and have definitely received loads of attention on social media. The last couple of weeks have been abuzz with the Dubai Police fleet trending on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and have turned out to be one of the city’s tourist attractions in recent times.
For a city obsessed with wealth and luxury, Dubai has been a global tourist attraction as well as a business and cultural centre. The Dubai Police Force has been called as the most progressive unit in the Middle East and the new fleet certainly matches up to city’s credentials. Apart from the high end supercars, the fleet includes superbikes and boats with the latest addition being the luxury three-wheeler Trike. So if you happen to visit the city anytime, make sure to lookout for supercars dressed up in the Dubai Police force’s white and green livery.
