DSK Benelli have launched the 302R in India, the fully faired cousin of the TNT 300 is priced at Rs. 3.48 lakhs.
The DSK Benelli 302R has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 3.48 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Benelli 302R is essentially a fully-faired version of the TNT 300, but the 302R comes with some extra equipment and some subtle changes.
First things first, let’s get done talking about the powertrain. Powering the Benelli 302R is the same 300cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that powers the naked TNT 300 and produces 38 HP of power and 27 Nm of torque. Similarly, there is a 6-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheel.
Coming to the changes, the Benelli 302R gets a new chassis which is lighter than the TNT 300’s. However, the fairing does add a bit of extra weight on the 302R. The full fairing with a split headlamp unit does give the Benelli 302R a big bike feel.
You get 41mm upside-down forks at the front and a centrally mounted monoshock at the rear. A 260 mm dual disc brake at the front and a single 240 mm disc brake at the rear take care of the braking duties. ABS comes as standard, so it does have an edge over its competition. Tipping the scale at 190 kgs (dry), the Benelli 302R gets a 14-litres fuel-tank capacity.
The Benelli 302R sits on 17-inch wheels both at the front and rear and these come wrapped in a 110 section tyre for the front wheel and a 150 section tyre for the rear. Bookings have already commenced for the Benelli 302R, and this entry-level fully faired motorcycle goes up against the Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
