The 3 day tour will see participants drive the Bugatti Veyron across Germany and Switzerland for 700 kms along with stopovers at the Mercedes, Porsche factory and IWC watch factory for private tours.
The automotive legend of this generation that has redefined hypercars for a long long time, the Bugatti Veyron made its last production appearance at the Geneva Motor Show this year as parent company Volkswagen presented the 450th model to the world before shipping it off to its buyer somewhere in the Middle East. Just like you, our dream of driving this beauty couldn’t be possible while owning one in this lifetime comes as a bit hefty on the pocket.
If you still haven’t given up hope like us, Global Racing Schools will make that dream come true as it is organising a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse around the exotic locales of Germany and Switzerland over a 3 day/700 kms tour. Just before you make your plans and call your travel agent, remember, this tour will set you back by 64,350 Euros (approximately. Rs. 46 lakhs at current exchange rates) for two people. The price does not include air transfers to Germany though.
Here is the itinerary for what is regarded as the “World’s Most Expensive Driving Tour” –
Day 1 – Fly into Stuttgart wherein Limousine (Limo) transfers to the city from the airport are organised and an overnight stay at the 5 Star Schlosgarten, Junior Suite.
Day 2 – A private guided tour of the Porsche and Mercedes factory museums in the morning, followed by Limo transfers to Baden-Baden ( a 90-minute drive) where the participants will be briefed on the Bugatti Veyron. The drivers will then have a 1 hour/80 kms ‘warm up’ drive while the day will end with an overnight at the 5 Star Brenners Park, Junior Suite, Park Views.
Day 3 – The participants will drive for 250 kms of scenic route through the best forest trails and mountain passes of the Black Forest, crossing the Rhine into Switzerland for a private guided tour of the IWC watch factory. The participants then continue to Lake Constance and call it a day at the 5 Star Riva, Junior Suite, Lake Views.
Day 4 – A 300 kms drive back to Baden-Baden through the de-restricted German Autobahn before turning east into the forest. The drive will have a stop over for lunch at the 3 Star Michelin Stube at the Tonbach Hotel, before continuing back to Baden-Baden for an overnight at 5 Star Brenners Park, Junior Suite, Park Views.
Day 5 – Final morning drive, a 100 kms loop of the Black Forest before taking lunch in Bade. The tour will end with a private Limo transfer back to Stuttgart.
The pricing may seem optimistic at around Rs. 25 lakhs per person. It surely is an opportunity of a lifetime that any petrolhead would hardly want to miss. Come to think of it, it isn’t outlandishly expensive either, considering that the guided tour has some very interesting features including the Autobahn drive, IWC watch factory tour as well as the Porsche and Mercedes factory tours. For what would be the price of an entry-level luxury hatchback in India, you could drive the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and live to tell the tale. Time to break into that savings vault!
