Skoda is testing the 2021 Kodiaq facelift in its home country and a test mule of the same has been spotted on a motorway there.
Earlier this year, Skoda had announced that it will launch the BS6 Kodiaq in India in 2021 and that it will come with a 2.0-litre petrol motor, rather than the diesel.
Now, it looks like Skoda might actually launch the BS6 version along with a facelift, since it has been testing it.
The development mule has only the front and rear portions covered, hinting that the exterior revisions will be rather mild.
We might see the car feature new LED headlights and DRLs, the radiator grille seems to have gotten a bit wider, while the lower air dam also looks to be slightly restyled.
At the back, the tail light cluster might sport different detailing elements, while the bumper looks to have been worked upon as well. Expect Skoda to throw in a set of new wheels for the car to ride on.
We might not see a whole lot change inside the car, but infotainment system might be upgraded along with the driver’s digital cluster and new seat upholstery is likely to be introduced.
As mentioned above, the car will come powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol motor putting out 190 PS and 320 Nm and it will be mated to a 7-speed DCT.
When it gets launched, prices of the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift will begin from around Rs. 35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The car will rival the Toyota Fortuner (also in for a facelift), MG Gloster and the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
