Close Up Shots Reveal Pulsar CS 400 Engine & Headlight

The Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 has been spied yet again. However, this time there is a much awaited leak. We finally have proper images of the front headlight assembly which has been evading the prying eyes of the camera for quite a while now.

The secondary display will have a digital speedo and a gear shift indicator

The Pulsar CS 400 has been undergoing heavy testing in recent time, and it looks like Bajaj Auto wants it to be spied again and again to keep up the hype till the launch date. The motorcycle was recently spied while its was parked alongside what looks like the Kawasaki Versys 650 against which Bajaj seem to be benchmarking the Pulsar CS 400. The Versys has been spotted in previous videos, riding along with the CS 400.

The CS 400’s headlamp has been somewhat a looming mystery, none of the spy pics/videos have been able to capture the headlight assembly properly. Well, looks like that spoiler is out now, as we have two clear pictures of the bike’s front assembly with the headlight courtesy SpawnNightKing who has published the spy images. The front assembly of the headlight covering seems to be more or less similar to the unit seen at the Auto Expo, however, the bike does not get the unique LED layout that was showcased within the headlamp. The headlight comes off looking like a less aggressive version of the one seen on the 200 NS.

The exhaust can also be clearly seen, and Bajaj seems to have done away with the silver accents that were seen on the earlier test mules. ABS rings can also be spotted on the spied Pulsar CS 400. We also get a close up glimpse of the secondary display on the bike’s fuel tank, that will act as a digital speedometer and a gear shift indicator. The engine is a DTS-i unit as seen in the photos, and will output around 40 HP of power and 32 Nm of torque.

We can also see that the upcoming flagship Pulsar does not get upside-down forks that were showcased at the Auto Expo. The single contoured seat has been ditched for a split seat set-up. All in all, the Pulsar CS 400 looks really good so far. As we eagerly wait for the launch date, we are quite sure this is not the last spy shots we are seeing of the Cruiser Sport!
