Citroen eC3 will be the name of the electric hatch
Citroen is preparing to launch their first electric car in India and it will be called eC3. The name has been officially confirmed by the carmaker as they released the first teased of the car.
The electric hatchback has been spotted testing multiple times across the country. It will receive heavy localisation in India and will be manufactured locally.
In terms of design, the electric hatchback will look exactly like the ICE counterpart of the vehicle. However, it will get mild cosmetic tweaks to differentiate the two.
The production car is expected to be revealed in India by January 2023 while the launch is likely to happen before March 2023 in the country.
There is no official word about the specs of the car but we believe it will have an electric motor which is likely to produce around 80 BHP and 140 Nm torque. The range is expected to be up to 300 km on single charge.
Citroen is expected to price the car aggressively and it is likely to be one of the most affordable electric cars in the country.
