Citroen has launched the C5 Aircross in India with a starting introductory price tag of Rs. 29.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The first product from the French carmaker for India is assembled domestically and is offered in 2 variants, namely Feel and Shine, both of which can be had in monotone or dual tone colour choices.
They come packed with equipment as well. Features offered in the Feel variant include auto headlights with ‘Follow Me Home’ function, fog lamps at the front (with cornering function) and rear, electrically adjustable, power folding and heated ORVMs and puddle lamps.
Inside, the Citroen C5 Aircross price will get customers, as standard, features such as a 12.3-inch digital cluster, 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, keyless entry and start, electric parking brake, Park Assist, reversing camera, dual zone automatic temperature control, 6-speakers, and an air quality system.
Customers who want all the equipment the car comes with, have the Shine variant to choose. In addition to the Feel variant features, it comes with full LED lighting, LED mood lights, panoramic sunroof and a handsfree electric tailgate.
Powering the car is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is assembled in Hosur (Tamil Nadu). The motor makes a maximum of 177 PS at 3750 RPM and 400 Nm of peak torque at 2000 RPM.
It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the claimed fuel efficiency of the SUV that rides on 18-inch rims is 18.6 km/l.
To keep keen drivers engaged, Citroen offers the car with paddle shifters, drive modes (Eco and Sport) and a Grip Control system with 5 modes as well.
In terms of safety the C5 Aircross has disc brakes all-round, driver and passenger, front seat side and curtain airbags, parking sensors all-round, Coffee Break Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring System, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Assist.
In addition to revealing the Citroen C5 Aircross price, the carmaker has also introduced the Citroen Future Sure programme which allows a person to own the SUV on a monthly payment of Rs. 49,999/-.
It comes with a 5-year routine maintenance, extended warranty, roadside assistance, and assured future value. At the end of the term, customers can either return the car to the dealer, keep it by paying the remaining amount or trade it in to upgrade to a new car.
