Citroen has commenced bookings for the C5 Aircross, its first product for India, and the booking cost has been set at Rs. 50,000/-.
To be offered in 2 variants – Feel and Shine – and will come loaded with of features and can be specified in 4 monotone or 3 dual tone exterior shades.
As standard, the car will feature auto headlights with ‘Follow Me Home’ function, electrically adjustable, power folding and heated ORVMs, puddle lamp, 18-inch wheels and reverse camera.
Customers will also get keyless entry, push button start-stop function, electric parking brake, park assist, dual zone automatic temperature control, 6-speakers, and tilt and telescopic adjustable multifunction steering wheel.
It is a very practical car, it is an SUV after all, and comes equipped with 3 individual rear seats and a large 580-litre cargo space to stash loads of luggage.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine good for 177 PS at 3750 RPM and 400 Nm at 2000 RPM. A sole 8-speed automatic transmission will be offered with the C5 Aircross, but paddle shifters are present on the steering to keep keen driver’s engaged.
In addition to having ‘Eco’ and ‘Sport’ drive modes, the SUV also comes with 5 modes for the Grip Control system. Claimed fuel efficiency is 18.6 km/l and the SUV has a 52.5-litre fuel tank.
There are plentiful safety systems on board to keep occupants safe, while for people who book the car up until 6th April, the carmaker will offer 5 years or 50,000 km complimentary maintenance.
