Citroen C3X to share interior elements with its siblings, gets unique fastback design
Citroen is currently preparing to introduce its 5th offering in the Indian market, which will be the C3X. The new product has a unique fastback body style which will be the first of a kind in its segment. The car has been spotted multiple times on test in the past few months but this time around we get our hands on the interior spy shot, shared by MotorBeamer Vishal.
You can instantly recognise the dashboard at the first glance since it looks very familiar to the other siblings like C3 Aircross and C3 hathback. It comes with the same three-spoke steering wheel that comes with the C3 Aircross. The dashboard design looks ditto and the touchscreen infotainment system display looks the same in size. However, the interior colour scheme seems to be all-black to differentiate it with the SUV.
The exterior will also carry the same design language as its siblings. The front profile will get minor tweaks for differentiation. Otherwise, the rear will be completely different, offering a unique presence on the road with the fastback styling. With a high ground clearance and a relatively larger boot space, it will be a much more practical version than the C3 hatchback.
We believe Citroen will position the new C3X between the C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross in their portfolio. It will be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 110 PS and 190 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There will be no diesel engine on offer.
