Citroen C3 MPV to launch later in 2023
Citroen is currently testing the 7-seater version of the C3 hatchback and is expected to launch the MPV in India by late 2023.
The French car brand is new to the Indian market. They currently offer the C5 Aircross and C3 in the country. Their next product launch is the electric version of the C3 hatchback that will hit the showrooms in early 2023.
The carmaker is working on another product, which is a 7-seater MPV. It is not yet confirmed if it will be marketed as an SUV or an MPV. However, it will be based on the C3’s platform.
The prototypes have been spotted testing recently a couple of times. In terms of design, it looks like a longer version of the hatchback. The test mules are heavily camouflaged but we expect some styling tweaks to differentiate the two products.
Citroen is expected to offer the car with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed gearbox. They might also offer the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer. It will compete with the Renault Triber in the Indian market.
