The upcoming Citroen C3 gets all the basic features 1 would expect at this price point but it sure misses some radical features
Ahead of its launch on 20th July, the features of the upcoming Citroen C3 compact SUV have been revealed online. Official bookings for the car will commence from 1st July at its 20 dealerships spread across 19 cities.
The C3 will be available in a 2 variant lineup – Live (base) and Feel (top-end). While the Live will only get the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the Feel will additionally get the much-hyped turbo-petrol engine with amazing torque figure.
Coming to the features of the base Live, on the outside, it will get matte black front grille, halogen headlamps, fender-mounted turn indicators, 15-inch steel wheels with cover, gloss black ORVMs with manual adjust, roof antenna, and optional dual-tone shade.
On the inside, the car will feature a single tone black theme, fabric seat upholstery, and chrome accents on parking brake and AC dials. The AC will be a manual unit.
Further compact SUV will get front 12V socket, flat-folding rear seats, front power windows, rear console smartphone storage, and digital instrument cluster. As far as safety goes, the Live will make to do with dual-front airbags and rear parking sensors.
Coming to the features of the top-end Feel, on the outside, it will get dual-tone C-pillar, body-coloured outside door handles, wheel arch cladding, front skid plate, LED DRLs, gloss black roof rails, and standard dual-tone shades.
On the inside, the car will feature Anodized Grey or Anodized Orange highlight for the dashboard, chrome accents on (interior door handles, instrument panel, gear lever, and steering wheel), 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Feel will further get 4-speakers, steering-mounted audio and phone controls, rear power windows, 1-touch up-down for all windows, remote keyless entry, manually adjustable driver’s seat, tilt steering, parcel shelf, and driver and co-driver front seat back pocket.
As usual, co-driver side sun visor with vanity mirror, front USB charger, and 2 rear fast chargers, and speed sensitive auto door lock will also be part of the Feel’s package. And all these features are in addition to the Live’s basic features.
It is to be noted that the naturally aspirated engine will get a 5-speed gearbox with a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.8 km/l while the turbo-petrol mill will get a 6-speed unit with a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/l. Unfortunately, there are no automatic variants on offer.
The C3 will also get what Citroen calls ‘Citroen Service Promise’ with 7 features including anytime anywhere access, virtual remote diagnosis, period service/maintenance with pickup and drop, 180-minute RSA guarantee, remote service job card opening, service cost estimator on website, and genuine spare part availability 24 hours.
