Citroen C3 estimated price starts at Rs. 6 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base Live variant

The estimated price of Citroen C3 has been revealed via a leaked official document from Citroen. The price starts at Rs. 6 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base 1.2 Petrol Live and goes up to Rs. 8.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top-end 1.2 Turbo Petrol Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack.

There are 2 trims – Live and Feel, with a total of 6 variants on offer – 1.2 Petrol Live, 1.2 Petrol Feel, 1.2 Petrol Feel Vibe Pack, 1.2 Petrol Feel Dual Tone, 1.2 Petrol Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack, and 1.2 Turbo Petrol Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack.

In comparison, the C3’s closest rival, Tata Punch, commands an ex-showroom price between Rs. 5.83 lakhs and Rs. 8.89 lakhs for its manual variants. The base variant is Punch Pure while the top-end model is Punch Kaziranga Edition IRA.

As far as compact SUV segment leader Tata Nexon’s price goes, it commands an ex-showroom price between Rs. 7.55 lakhs (XE) and Rs. 11.95 lakhs (XZ Plus Kaziranga Edition) for its petrol manual variants.

The Citrien C3 gets a long list of accessories

The recently-launched Maruti Suzuki Brezza’s ex-showroom price goes from Rs. 7.99 lakhs (LXI) to Rs. 12.46 lakhs (ZXI+ Dual Tone) for the manual variants. Finally, the recently-launched Hyundai Venue’s price goes from Rs. 7.53 lakhs (E 1.2) to Rs. 10.69 lakhs (SX 1.2) for the petrol manual variants.

So, the upcoming Citroen C3 is clearly Rs. 1.5 to 3 lakhs cheaper than its compact SUV rivals’ variants sporting petrol engines with manual gearboxes. Not only that, the turbo variant of the C3 offers class-leading acceleration hitting the ton in 10 seconds.

With 190 Nm on tap for the turbo variant, the C3 produces more torque than most of the compact SUVs in the segment namely the petrol variants of Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai, Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.

The C3 can hit the ton in 10 seconds
