The Chevrolet TrailBlazer will be available for booking on Amazon.com and at showrooms pan India from 21st October 2015.
A first for premium vehicles in India, General Motors announced that its upcoming SUV the Chevrolet TrailBlazer will be available to book on e-commerce website Amazon.in in addition to showrooms, starting from 21st October 2015. The move comes with the rapid increase of the digital world in the life of customers that has prompted the American auto giant to offer the option.
The dedicated Chevrolet TrailBlazer page on the Amazon website showcases all information related to the SUV including features, specifications and reviews. While the booking amount isn’t revealed yet, the automaker states that customers can book their car at a nominal amount on the website, which will be completely refunded in case the prospective buyer has a change of heart.
Incidentally, General Motors isn’t the first automaker to take a shot at online sales, Mahindra introduced bookings for the Scorpio last year exclusively on e-commerce market place Snapdeal.com while Hero MotoCorp has been retailing its motorcycles and scooters since a year now. That said, the TrailBlazer is the most expensive vehicle to be sold online in the country.
Being brought via the CBU route, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer is one of the most powerful SUVs in its segment and draws power from a 2.8-litre Duramax turbo diesel engine tuned to produce 200 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, sending power only to the rear wheels. The premium SUV comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Smartlink feature, parking camera, auto climate control and 6-way adjustable front seats.
