The making of the La Tomatino TVC for the Pulsar AS 200 has been uploaded by Bajaj Auto showcasing the interesting scenes behind the multi-day ad shoot.
Having launched the Pulsar AS 200 this year, Bajaj Auto ventured into an untapped segment of sports tourers that has potential for growth in the future. Based on the 200 NS, the TVC advert for the Adventure Sport 200 was as interesting as the bike itself with the motorcycle celebrating the very famous La Tomatina festival in Spain. With the TVC gaining positive reception, Bajaj has now uploaded a new video showcasing the making of this TVC while it painted the town red.
The making of the Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 ad reveals the involvement of 80 extras and 19 tons of tomatoes that were used over the multi-day shoot. You can see the motorcycle do donuts, jump off boxes and splash tomato juice across places as it tries to avoid being caught up in the tomato war. The makers also conveyed the crazy logistical support that was required to execute the making of the advert.
The 2015 Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 is powered by a 199.5 liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 23.5 PS of power with 18.35 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike sports a modern perimeter frame with suspension duties handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear. With a kerb weight of 153 kgs, the bike offers a decent power-to-weight ratio and is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr run in 10.5 seconds. The La Tomatina festival happens every year during the last week of August in Spain and personifies fun and adventure, similar to the AS 200. Make sure to check out the original ad as well below.
