The modification adds a custom two-toned white and red interior theme to the Swift while the exteriors get the quirky modifications that DC is known for.
Without a doubt, the Maruti Swift is one of the most modification friendly cars available in the country at present. While the Swift embraces everything bolted on in the name of modifications (chrome grille anyone?) in a good way, DC Design known for their outlandish concepts and of course the Avanti are not very fond of the term good as much as they like ‘quirky’, and that is exactly what has been done with the Swift under the Pune-based modifier’s directions.
Unlike DC Design’s previous works, the changes on the Maruti Swift aren’t as comprehensive as one would assume. Retaining majority of the existing design language, DC has changed the front fascia with its signature styling, replacing the front grille with a custom horizontal slat while the bumper gets redesigned with higher placed fog lamps and daytime running lights. At the rear, the change comes with a redesigned bumper with a wide open mesh grille and a new spoiler.
On the inside, the modifications lend a premium appearance with the cabin finished in a new white and red dual-tone paint scheme extending to the seats, door trims and centre console and replaces the all-black interiors seen on the stock model. What does not fit though is the upper half dashboard and the steering wheel that continue to exist in black and kills the overall premium look that DC was aiming for. There are also custom floor mats added to the package.
With looks being subjective, most folks have always had a divided opinion on DC’s creations. With the Swift too, even though the company has toned down on its quirky styling on the outside, the design may or may not appeal to anyone who loves the clean lines seen on the hatchback. Nonetheless, if you want to stand out compared to other Swift customers, nothing else will get you noticed like this. Love it or hate it? Let us known in the comments below.
