The R7 moniker has been revived and Yamaha offers the bike with a 689cc 2-cylinder engine that is good for 73.4 PS max power.
Based on the MT-125, the smallest XSR is powered by a 15 PS liquid-cooled 125cc engine.
To be sold only in Japan, it comes powered by a big air-cooled V-twin engine putting out 54 PS of max power.
It is now Yamaha's turn to bring a retro styled motorcycle to India then.
The new-generation YZF-R7 is expected to make its debut later this year or in early 2022.
