BYD Atto 3 price revealed for India, gets 1500 bookings
BYD Atto 3 has just launched in the Indian market and comes with a price tag of Rs. 34 lakhs (ex-showroom). The all-electric SUV has gathered 1500 bookings since 11th October.
The car is available in four colour options – Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue. There is only a single variant on offer by BYD.
The Chinese carmaker claims an ARAI range of 521 km on a single charge. The Atto 3 does 0-80 percent charge in 50 mins with a fast charger. It has a battery capacity of 60.48 kWh.
The car is powered by an electric powertrain that produces 204 HP and 310 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/hr acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
Some of the features include Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), 7 airbags, panoramic sunroof, 12.8-inch adaptive rotating screen, 360° holographic transparent imaging system, NFC card key, Vehicle to Load (VTOL), wireless phone charging, one-touch electric tailgate, 8-speaker audio system, electric seat adjustment, multi-color gradient ambient lighting that responds to music rhythm, PM 2.5 air filter, CN95 air filter, etc.
The carmaker is offering a 7kW home charger and its installation service, 3kW portable charging box, 3-year free 4G Data subscription, 6-year roadside assistance and 6 free maintenance service.
The BYD Atto 3 gets a warranty of 8 years or 1.6 lakh km (whichever is earlier) for the traction battery, 8 years or 1.5 lakh km (whichever is earlier) for the motor & the motor controller and 6 years or 1.5 lakh km for the vehicle.
We expected it to come in the price range of Rs. 25-30 lakhs (ex-showroom) but at this price point, it seems to be quite an overpriced car.
