The 2022 Ford EcoSport facelift spied recently comes with a revised radiator grille and a new front bumper
Ford is set to give the EcoSport another facelift for 2022 and it has been spied completely undisguised on a highway in Tamil Nadu.
Back in June, first images (very blurry ones that too!) of the 2022 model year EcoSport surfaced online and it looks like Ford is done with the development of the vehicle.
The recently spied 2022 Ford EcoSport facelift comes with a grille that has chrome surround and embellishment, while a pair of gloss black elements sit in the space between the grille and the headlamps.
Ford has changed the compact crossover’s front bumper too. It also comes with new inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, new fog lamps and a front lip that is painted in grey.
Along the sides, the compact SUV does not seem to sport any changes, apart from wearing the new alloy wheels. It also comes with silver-coloured roof rails.
The rear profile remains pretty much the same as before, but it does get a new bumper and a couple of silver-finish elements on either side of the windscreen. These were previously black.
The compact SUV will likely be unchanged mechanically. Its engine options will include a 1.5-litre petrol unit (122 PS and 149 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (100 PS and 215 Nm). The gearbox options should stay the same as well.
Expect Ford, which is evaluating its position in the market, to introduce the 2022 EcoSport facelift in the coming months. The updated car should be priced similar to the 2021 model.
